Oregon 24/12 2026
About This Event
This overnight mountain biking endurance test challenges riders to complete as many 11-mile loops as possible in either 12 or 24 hours through the forests surrounding Bend. Each lap delivers 900 feet of climbing across a mix of single-track and double-track trails, creating a manageable but cumulative challenge as fatigue sets in during the dark hours.
The format flexibility sets this event apart from typical endurance races. Solo riders can test their limits against the clock and their own mental fortitude, while teams of up to 10 people can share the workload and turn the experience into a social adventure. Many teams embrace creative themes, adding a playful element to the serious business of riding through the night.
Starting and finishing at Wanoga Snow Park, the event provides on-site camping as part of the experience. Riders roll out of their tents and straight onto the course, with coffee, food, and technical support available throughout the night to keep everyone moving. The overnight format demands proper lighting—headlamps and bike lights are essential gear for navigating the trails in darkness.
The course’s design allows riders to gauge their effort and strategy with each completed loop. The consistent distance and elevation gain per lap makes pacing decisions straightforward, while the variety of terrain keeps the riding engaging even as the hours accumulate. Aid stations at the start/finish area provide regular opportunities to refuel, adjust gear, and connect with other participants.
As part of both the N24 Series and Oregon XC Series, this event attracts serious endurance athletes alongside recreational riders looking for a unique challenge in one of the Northwest’s premier mountain biking destinations.
